Liam O’Connell BSc (Hons) MRICS
Founder
After many years years working with leading property consultancies including OBI Property and CBRE, Liam returned to Jersey to establish Channel Property Consultants in 2023. Since then, he has worked closely with landlords, tenants, and managing agents, providing professional advice throughout the full lifecycle of commercial and residential property assets.

Liam is a Chartered Building Surveyor and Project Manager with broad experience across the construction and property sectors. He has successfully delivered a wide range of large-scale projects, including commercial office fit-outs, external repairs, dilapidation projects, and comprehensive building surveys for well-known and established businesses across the Channel Islands.

His expertise spans multiple building surveying disciplines, including Project Management, Contract Administration, and Dilapidations. Liam has also worked extensively within the legal and regulatory frameworks of Jersey, Guernsey, and the UK, enabling him to navigate jurisdictional differences and provide clear, pragmatic advice tailored to each project.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION
First-class honours degree in Building Surveying and a Chartership in Building Surveying (MRICS).

Jordan Deffains
Surveyor
Jordan brings a strong background in facilities management and sales, with extensive experience in client-facing roles. Since joining Channel Property Consultants in 2024, he has contributed to the successful delivery of major fit-out projects and is currently working towards professional surveyor status.
During his time with the company, Jordan has qualified as a Health and Safety Project Coordinator and is also a fully licensed drone pilot, adding further value through robust site management, compliance-focused project delivery, and innovative surveying solutions.
Away from work, Jordan is passionate about fitness, particularly gym training and boxing, and is a dedicated Chelsea FC supporter…a topic that can sometimes divide opinions in the office.
