SUMMARY
Initially, we were appointed to undertake a cost review for the conversion of the Airtel unit into a Sure store, identifying savings of approximately £200,000 through value engineering while maintaining compliance with the Jersey Building By-laws.
We were subsequently instructed to act as Contract Administrator and Employer’s Agent. Although the project had already been tendered to a UK contractor, careful management was required due to Channel Islands logistics and programme constraints. We engaged an interior designer and an M&E consultant to deliver the retail layout, branding integration and full building services design.
There was a significant amount of value engineering undertaken on this project to align with the client’s budget. The original design was amended, and the furniture specification was reduced accordingly.
Following the success of the Sure office refurbishment, we were instructed to manage a number of additional projects for Sure in both Jersey and Guernsey.
